PASTOR GREGORY L. THOMAS

Pastor Gregory L. Thomas is founder and senior pastor of Come As You Are Christian Center Church (C.A.Y.A.) in Memphis, Tennessee where the passion of his heart is to equip the whole person with knowledge so that one can be Build The Right Way, One Mind at a Time.

Pastor Gregory L. Thomas was born July 16, 1953 in Clayborne Homes, Memphis TN; the son of the late Deacon Clarence Lucas and Mother Ernestine Thomas. His Family was and is a family of Christ dedicated believers. His brother Freddie L. Thomas founder and pastor of Christ Communion Temple COGIC is not only his pastor but also his mentor.

At the age of twelve, Pastor Gregory L. Thomas was saved in the home of mother McClendon next to the Pentecostal Temple Church. But since the early age of seven, God has been dealing with him in dreams and revelations, which have been unfolding and coming to pass in his life through out the years.
Revelation knowledge of the scriptures, with clarity and simplicity is one of the gifting God has bestowed upon this great man of God; along with the ability to teach it to others.

After graduating from Booker T. Washington High School, He attended Southwest Tennessee College, from there to C.H. Mason Bible College here in Memphis Tennessee. His tour of duty in the Military included The US Marines Corp and the Air National Guards where he served his country faithfully and willingly. Learning to be a servant he felt would one day prove to be rewarding.
He looked forward to connecting with the body of Christ in fellowship, so upon his return to the states he then joined the First Baptist Chelsea 500 North Forth Street under the leadership of Reverend Potts. This is where he preached his first sermon, and became a licensed minister on July 7, 1991. Although he is currently a Memphis City Firefighter who loves his job, he often says that teaching and preaching the word of God is his total life purpose.

After being faithful to the vision with his brother, Pastor Freddie Thomas as Co-overseer of all Auxiliaries, and a member of the executive Board of Christ Communion Temple, the call came for him to move into the next dimension of his life for Christ.
On September 21, 2003 C.A.Y.A. Christian Center was birthed, He and his wife Gail A. Thomas purposed in there hearts to “Build the Right Way”. The church started in there home with five people, where chairs were set up in the garage for worship service, as it grew they begin to move from house to house. But less than two short years into the ministry God called Sister Gail home. “Though he Slay me yet will I trust in him”. Pastor Gregory L. Thomas is now married to his lovely wife Patrisha A. Thomas and they together are focused on “Building the Right Way”. The ministry is still alive, Souls are being saved, lives are being changed one mind at a time. So Come As You Are.

C.A.Y.A. is a multi cultural revelational church taught in simplicity and focused on walking in the love of God toward all people.
